Til ke laddu, also known as “Sesame seed laddu” or “tilgul,” is a traditional Indian sweet delicacy made from roasted sesame seeds and a sweetening agent like jaggery or sugar. The roasted sesame seeds are combined with the sweetener to create a mixture that is then shaped into small round balls, often referred to as laddus. These laddus are popularly enjoyed during the winter season, festivals, and special occasions.
This sweet treat can keep one warm even on chilly winter nights and is quite simple to create. It doesn’t take a lot of time or effort.
So let’s make the til k laddu, a tasty winter snack that is warming. Make them, store them, and consume them as desired.

Til k laddu (sesame seed laddu)

Preparation time:15-20 minutes
Serve: 7-8

Recipe In English

Ingredients:

  • 250gm Sesame Seeds
  • 250gm Wheat
  • 250gm Sugar
  • 250gm semolina
  • 7 Tbsp Ghee

Directions:
1. Start by lightly roasting the sesame seeds(Til) in a pan until they turn slightly brown. Be careful not to burn them. Transfer the roasted sesame seeds(Til) to a separate plate and let them cool down and grind them.
2. In the same pan, add 2 tbsp ghee, then add semolina (suji), and roast it on medium-low heat until it becomes fragrant and lightly golden. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same pan, add 2 tbsp ghee, then add wheat flour and roast it on medium-low heat until it becomes fragrant and lightly golden. Remove and set aside.
4. In a bowl mix the sesame seeds, wheat flour, and semolina.
5. In a saucepan, combine sugar and 1/2 cup of water. Place the saucepan on the stove over medium heat. Stir the mixture continuously until the sugar dissolves completely. This will take a few minutes. Now add 2 tbsp ghee.
6. Pour the sugar syrup into sesame seeds, wheat flour, and semolina mixture. Mix well until everything is combined.
7. Take portions of the mixture and shape them into round laddus using your hands. Grease your hands with ghee if needed.
8. Our warming tasty winter special dessert sesame seed laddu (Til k laddu) is ready to serve.

Ajza:

  • 250gm cheeni
  • 250gm suji
  • 7 Tbsp Ghee

Tarikakar:
1. Sabse pehle til ko ek pan mein halka bhun lein, jab tak ki woh halka brown na ho jaaye. Dhyan rahe ki til jal na jaaye. Til ko alag ek plate mein nikal lein aur thanda hone dein aur hlka sa grinde kr lain.
2. Ab wohi pan mai 2 tbsp ghee garam kr k us mai Suji Shamil krain or halki anch py achi trah sy bhuny gy Jb tak suji ka colour change nhi hojay. Suji ko alag ek bartan mai nikal lein aur thanda hone dain.
3. Ab wapis 2 tbsp ghee garam kr k us mai Atta shamil krain or halki anch py achi trah sy bhuny gy jb tk Atty ka color change nhi hojay. Atta ko alag ek bartan mai nikal lein aur thanda hone dain.
4. Ab ek bartan mai Til, Suji, aur Atta ko dal kr achi trah sy mixed Karyn.
5. Ek bartan m adha cup pani dal k cheeni shamil krain or hali anch py jb tk pkayn k cheeni achy sy hal hojay. Ab 2 tbsp ghee dal kr flame bnd krdain.
6. Ab is cheeni waly syrup ko Til, suji, aur atta waly mixture mai add krain aur chi trah sy mixed krain.
7. Ab hat ki madad sy isko laddu ki shape dyn.
